Alice Nason
Associate Director or Operations - Operation Delivery Network (ODNs)
Alice began her NHS career doing administration during university breaks. After graduating with a degree in Psychology from the University of Birmingham, Alice moved through the various NHS commissioning roles across administration, contract management and service commissioning.
After joining NHS England’s Specialised Commissioning team, she did a week of clinical shadowing at Birmingham Children’s Hospital as part of taking on responsibility for commissioning specialist children’s services. Her experiences in this, particularly shadowing a children’s critical care transfer team caring for baby Alex (a newborn with severe meningitis) and his parents, sparked Alice’s passion for improving care pathways for critically unwell children.
This passion has driven Alice’s career since, with the development of the West Midland’s Children’s Network creating an opportunity to build a team of like-minded individuals to focus on infants, children and young people and their families requiring specialist care.
