NERVE (Neurological Education for Recognising Vital Emergencies)
Date: Tuesday 29th July 2025
Location: Birmingham Children's Hospital, Education Centre.
Content: The NERVE education day offers nurses a valuable opportunity to develop new skills and expand their neurological knowledge. This event includes a combination of theoretical learning and hands-on practical workshops, aimed at deepening understanding of common paediatric neurological conditions. Participants will enhance their ability to recognise early signs of neurological deterioration and gain strategies to support patient care, education and team collaboration.

Tracheostomy Education Day
Date: 2nd June 2025.
Location: Birmingham Children's Hospital, Education Centre.
Content: The West Midlands Paediatric Critical Care Network invites you to a Tracheostomy Education day. This collaborative event, organised by the West Midlands Children's Network, Well Child and BWC is designed for NHS hospitals and NHS community nurses. The day will feature learning sessions, updates, networking and practical workshops focused on tracheostomy care. While this is not a competency-based course, attendees will receive a certificate of attendance and a valuable opportunity to learn and connect with peers.
