Lead Neonatal Network Physiotherapist
I have been working in the field of neonatal care for 13 years and currently work as a clinical specialist neonatal physiotherapist at New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton alongside my network role.
Nationally, I am the AHP lead representative for the Neonatal Implementation Board (NHSE) and have been driving forward the creation and implementation of network AHP roles and supporting the utilisation of national funding streams. I am also part of the team currently working with NHSE’s Workforce, Education and Training Committee (previously HEE) to develop education programmes for physiotherapists coming into the field of neonates.
I am also the chair of the Association of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists (APCP) Neonatal Committee and part of the executive committee for the APCP.
I am passionate about demonstrating the value AHPs can bring to neonatal care at local, regional and national levels, and am very proud of the progress we have made to date in expanding and training the neonatal AHP workforce.
