I'm Christine, the West Midlands Paediatric Palliative Care Network Clinical Lead. I'm a Consultant in Paediatric Palliative Medicine working for Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Trust and as the Medical Director for Acorns Children's Hospices.
I moved from Australia in 2021 to work in the UK, and it's been a great learning opportunity! I am passionate about the delivery of high-quality palliative care that can positively impact the journey of the families we meet, and I have a special interest in perinatal palliative care.
I chair the Association for Paediatric Palliative Medicine Children's Hospice Medical Lead group and love hospice work. I was previously the president of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Palliative Medicine, so have seen how Paediatric and Adult palliative services can work together for common goals.
