Congenital Heart Disease Lead Nurse
James Anthony leads and supports nursing in congenital heart disease across the region and helps to ensure patients get quality and consistent care wherever they are seen.
He has worked with patients with congenital heart disease since starting his first job as a nurse on the inpatient cardiology ward at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. He then worked as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adult Congenital Heart Disease where he led on advanced symptoms management and pulmonary hypertension. He continues to deliver specialist pulmonary hypertension in ACHD clinics.
Outside of work James plays rugby and has been involved in leading LGBT+ inclusive sporting events.
