Neonatal Network Educator
My name is Lou and I started in the role as a neonatal network educator in February 2024. I qualified as a Paediatric nurse in 2004 and have spent the majority of my career specialising in neonatal surgery, including working on the Neonatal Surgical Ward at Birmingham Children's Hospital before becoming a Clinical Nurse Specialist for the Neonatal Surgical Outreach team. My career has also included working on the surgical NICU in Perth Australia, on the NICU at Birmingham Women’s Hospital and on the West Midlands Neonatal Transport team. I look forward to continuing working with staff across the neonatal network in my new role as an educator and to sharing my passion for neonatal surgery.
