Deputy Lead Midwife
I qualified as a midwife from Keele University in 2015 and worked as a rotational midwife at Royal Stoke Hospital until 2017. I got a job as a core delivery suite midwife at Birmingham Women’s Hospital in 2017 where I worked until January 2023 when I started this position at the Maternal Medicine Network.
During my time on the Delivery Suite, I developed a passion for caring for the most high-risk patients and often cared for women in High Dependency who needed Enhanced Maternity Care. The varied long-standing co-morbidities that women presented with as well as those that developed during pregnancy made me want to gain more exposure to this element of maternity so I applied for my job with the MMN, and I'm loving it!
