Lynn Nolan

Maternal Medicine Network Manager

I am a Registered General Nurse and Registered Midwife. Since qualifying I have gained extensive experience working alongside the maternal medicine and wider multidisciplinary team, improving patient experience and outcomes by providing coordinated and collaborative care, including facilitating regional speciality MDTs. I create, coordinate, and deliver MDT training to under/postgraduate clinicians including developing local and national frameworks. I spent 5 years as a Research Midwife at the University of Birmingham, and before taking up the position of Lead Midwife for the network, I was the Lead for Enhanced Maternal Care midwife at BWH. My MPhil has given me the skills to transform services and improve outcomes, and I am committed to the well-being of my team, utilising knowledge gained in healthcare leadership. I will continue to put my many years of experience to good use by focusing on bridging the gap between specialities, providing care that is seamless, and woman-centred, and ensuring that care is not compromised just because a woman is pregnant.
