Working Groups

The West Midlands Surgery in Children Operational Delivery Network (SICN) acts as a partnership across all organisations providing care for children requiring critical care support within the West Midlands.

The Steering group will act as a route of reporting for all specialty-level working groups, oversight for clinical governance of children’s surgery, operational matters and patient experience.

Each specialty working group will focus on building clinical and operational engagement across the region to focus on operational matters (i.e. standardising clinical pathways, strengthening the paediatric workforce, education provision), achievement of standards (i.e. GIRFT implementation) and sharing learning/intelligence.
